Airwaav Performance Mouthpiece

You put the Airwaav HIIT in your mouth so that it rests on your lower teeth. Position the tongue so that it is underneath the front crossbar. To keep the splint in the correct position and the jaw in the optimal position, you should bite on it lightly. The tongue is a muscle that, with proper positioning, can cause your airway to be more open. This improves the exchange of O2 (oxygen) and CO2 (carbon dioxide) and also reduces your breathing rate – so you breathe more efficiently! It has also been found that cortisol production is also reduced, which increases your recovery and muscle endurance has also been improved.

Good to know: It might take 2-3 training sessions to get used to the mouthpiece. So give the Airwaav HIIT some time 😉.

Like most things, you need to leave a little bit of time to get used to the Airwaav. Once you’ve molded the mouthpiece, we recommended using it only for short workouts at first. After the first 2-3 times you’ll start noticing a difference.

Good to know: It was NOT developed to protect your teeth during contact sports!

Using a microwave (recommended)
What you need: Microwave, paper towel, plate, spoon, bowl of cold water

Step 1: Moisten the paper towel and roll it up. Place it in the mouthpiece so that the side walls cannot collapse inward when heated.
Step 2: Spread out a wet paper towel on the plate, and then lay the mouthpiece on it so that the side walls are pointing upward. Next fold the paper towel over it so that the Airwaav is completely covered
Step 3: Heat the entire assembly in the microwave for one minute. If it’s still not hot, then repeat the process in 20 second intervals.
Step 4: Use the spoon to remove the hot mouthpiece from the plate and remove the paper towels (careful: hot!). Now lay the mouthpiece in the bowl of cold water for 3-5 seconds.
Step 5: Put the Airwaav in your mouth and lay it on your bottom teeth for 2 minutes. Check that the front crossbar is just behind the bottom front teeth, and then bite gently down on the mouthpiece. You should also use your fingers and tongue to press the material gently against your teeth. The better you mold the mouthpiece to your teeth, the tighter and better it will sit later.
Step 6: For an optimal fit, we recommend that you start a workout with the Airwaav immediately after step 5 (even a short jog is enough). But if you don’t have time right then, then simply put the Airwaav into cold water for another 5-10 minutes.
Step 7: Now GO GET SWEATY!

Simply run it under cold water and a little bit of gentle soup, or use toothpaste and a toothbrush.
